Due to the close proximety of Glasgow and as this was the first major display for the club it was decided that we would
commute daily to the event in the Magnum Leisure Centre.
A small group of us made the journey late friday afternoon and although there was not as much atmosphere as there was
later into the weekend, we performed to a nearly full audience and the display was well recieved. Those that didn't
come missed Susan and Ellena donning their leotards to help out the small number - not something you guys will see very often!!
The saturday was an early start at central station as we were scheduled early on but everyone made it - just (most
in t-shirts - i won't mention the names of those who forgot!) A short walk from the train station - more like 20
minutes with a group of our size we arrived at the magnum and started warming up straight away.
The performance was amazing despite a smaller than anticipated audience - everyone did brilliant. Big mention to
Scott who broke his arm in two places during the routine and kept going - A true star.
After swimming, some lunch and watching several of the displays we called it a day. It was a good start to the
display calender for the gymnastics club and next year we will be attending the event for the full weekend.
