Dynamite Gymnastics Club exploded onto the Scottish Gymnastics scene in 2004. Based at Scotstoun Leisure Centre in Glasgow's West End Dynamite Gymnastics Club currently offers Display Group training to selected youngsters. During the summer term the club offers taster sessions in several of Glasgow’s Schools – to date these include; Scotstoun Primary School, Thornwood Primary School, Broomhill Primary school, Temple Primary School, St. Paul’s (Whiteinch) RC Primary School and Willowbank Primary School. In addition the club has been involved in the school life of various of these schools, setting up after school clubs and running health days. The club hosted its first public display in December 2004 at Garscube Leisure Centre and also performed at the City of Glasgow Scheme and Club annual Christmas Display. During 2005 the club attended the Scottish Gymfest in Irvine, the South Dublin Gymfest in Ireland and the British Ministrada in Liverpool along with various displays throughout the year in Glasgow.

In 2006 the club have just finished displaying 3 new routines at the Scottish Gymfest and are looking foward to attending festivals in Dublin, London and Liverpool later in the year.

In 2007 30 members of the club will be part of the Great Britain team for the World Gymnaestrada in Austria.

In August 2005, the club opened its doors to a new batch of youngsters aged 8 and under and formed the sparklers display group.  The sparklers performed for the first time at the club christmas showcase and which included a preview of their "Annie" routine - which will stay with them for 2006.  They performed the routine in full for the first time at the Scottish Gymfest and are looking forward to taking it to Liverpool in November with some new and harder skills included.

For the new term the club will have a recreational and development section who train 1.5 hours a week.  We prefer youngsters to have some gymnastics experience however we will take 4 - 6 year olds with no experience.  Please contact the club for more details
